DLC※1 -coated Offset Support Arm
The Ultima Recurve Rest G2’s Support Arm makes use of DLC-coating – a technology offering superior material strength and friction properties, applied in fields such as parts for racing engines. As a result, the energy loss inflicted on an arrow gliding over the arm is reduced to the bare minimum. The Support Arm’s Offset construction guarantees no contact with the cushion plunger’s barrel, even when used with the smallest diameter shafts.

Dual Adjust System for perfect clearance
The Ultima Recurve Rest G2 is adjustable not only vertically, to ensure compatibility with any size arrow shaft, but also horizontally to compensate for sight window depth and plunger settings. There is no need to ever cut or bend the support arm again! Adjustments are easy to make with one screw, even when the arrow is rested on the support arm.

Refined Edge Design — Designed to Blend Seamlessly with the Bow
We revisited every detail of the rest’s outward shape, removing unnecessary corners to create a sharper, more refined form. The edges are carefully chamfered and the overall height has been reduced, minimizing the chance of snagging on bags and cases while maximizing clearance from the arrow’s vanes. The result is not only a cleaner appearance, but also improved handling and functionality while shooting.
Our goal was for the rest itself not to stand out, but to blend naturally into the bow as if it were an integral part of the riser. By meticulously refining even the smallest lines and angles, we have created a form that gives the entire bow a more beautiful, sharper appearance.
SHIBUYA's V-Lock System – unrivaled precision and repeatability
The line of magnetic force between the Ultima Recurve Rest G2’s dual magnets catches and returns the Support Arm safely and repeatably, exponentially increasing the reliability of the rest.
By placing the adjustment screw between the magnets, Shibuya was able to maintain a super-slim construction (only 3.8mm including adhesive tape), while at the same time using a 3mm screw for comfortable, safe adjustments.
Unprecedented Repeatability
Laser-engraved adjustment scales have been newly added to the top and bottom of the rest body. These scales allow the user to visually confirm the height of the offset pin during adjustment, making it possible to identify even the smallest differences in position with greater precision.
Even when changing your setup or moving the rest temporarily for maintenance, the scales provide a precise reference point, delivering an exceptionally high level of repeatability. With a competition-grade arrow rest where even the smallest adjustments matter, being able to clearly record exactly where the rest was set, rather than relying solely on feel, makes a significant difference.
Once the setting has been established, it is easy to record it and return to the exact same position whenever needed. Fine adjustments that once relied on feel can now be made visible. By further enhancing setup precision and repeatability, the ULTIMA Rest allows you to return to your intended position with greater certainty, every time.
Industrial-strength adhesive tape
For attachment to the bow riser, Shibuya is employing industrial-strength double-sided adhesive tape from a trusted maker. The flexible, thick tape is ideal for ensuring a lasting and reliable bond. The hole is matched to major manufacturers’ plunger dimensions, which makes precise attachment easier than ever.

What does an arrow rest truly need?
Our development of the ULTIMA Rest began with an exhaustive study of highly regarded rests on the market and the challenges they face. We took a fresh look at every performance requirement of a competition-grade rest, examining each one from the ground up.
Our greatest challenge was achieving both “extreme thinness” and “uncompromising performance.” To provide sufficient clearance, the rest had to be made as thin as possible. Yet we could not compromise on adjustability to accommodate a wide range of bows and arrows, consistent return to the exact same position, or a structure that would not interfere with the arrow’s flight. The thinner the rest became, the less room there was for its mechanism. The more performance we demanded, the thicker it became. Finding a way to satisfy these conflicting requirements within an incredibly compact body was the ultimate challenge.
The answer was our unique “V-Lock Design.” By positioning two magnets in a V-shaped configuration, we were able to concentrate a high level of return consistency and adjustment capability into an ultra-thin body. An offset design further prevents interference with the plunger. A low-friction DLC coating minimizes even the slightest energy loss that occurs during the instant the arrow passes through. With an overall length of just approximately 2.5 cm, this remarkably small body is packed with ideas and technology designed to redefine what a competition-grade arrow rest can be.
Ten years since its introduction, ULTIMA has continued to be chosen by the world’s top archers. But that was never the end of the journey. Building on everything we have learned over the past decade, we are ready to redefine the standard once again.
