After kicking off the 2008 FITA World
Cup in Santo Domingo, more than 360 athletes gathered in
Porec, Croatia for the second leg of the crowd-favorite
event.
Team
Shibuya set an exceptional track record in Santo Domingo
- World Champion Natalia Valeeva and her national
teammate Ilario Di Buo both topping the recurve
divisions - but they upped the ante for the second
event.

In the recurve
division, a whopping 5 out of 6 individual medals were
won with Shibuya sights. Reigning World Champion Im
Dong-Hyun beat 2006 World Cup Winner Park Kyung-Mo for
the Bronze Medal, while Rahul Banerjee of India marked
an impressive second place, after having finished 18th
in the qualification.
A battle of two legendary
archers took place in the ladies' bronze final, where
Park Sung-Hyun defeated Natalia Valeeva. It was a
reenactment of the 44th world championships' finals last
year, where Valeeva had taken the gold. She is currently
using Ultima Sights and a Shibuya Stabilizer
System.
