Team Shibuya dominates the World Field Championships

Visegrad, Hungary, from 13-18 July 2010

Hungary played host to the world's best field archers this weekend for the FITA field world championships. As usual, Team Shibuuya refused to leave Center stage to others! Ultima CPX test shooter Kevin Wilkey once again proved he's one of the top field archers in the world, claiming the silver medal  in the men's compound category.

The men's Recurve final was an all-Britsh, all- Shibuya event, With long-time Shibuya shooter Alan Wills clinching the gold medal over his teammate John Shales. Both archers are using Shibuya's tournament proven Dual Click Carbon sight. Over half of the Recurve medalists at the event are using Shibuya equipment!

Ultima CPX shooter triumphant at the Big Sky Open

Grand Junction, Colorado, from 18-20 June 2010

Ultima CPX test shooter Logan Wilde showed another strong performance at the Big Sky Open in Grand Junction, Colorado, claiming his 4th first place finish in this young season! Logan edged out his brother Reo by an impressive 5 point margin to secure the victory. Look forward to seeing more of the new and popular Ultima CPX in target and 3D competitions to come!

Ultima CPX shooter secures spot on World Field Team

2009 World Games Champion Kevin Wilkey secured another chance at a  FITA Medal with a 2nd place at the US National Field Championships and World Team Trials 2010. Kevin will be competing in Budapest, Hungary as a member of the US team. Simultaneously, Ultima CPX shooter Nicky Hunt also qualified for a spot on her National Team, posting an impressive 697 score at the Commonwealth Games qualifier! Congratulations to all Team Shibuya Shooters on the impressive performance this season!

Tean Shibuya have not skipped a podium at any major target archery competition - including the second FITA World Cup Stage in Antalya, Turkey. Great Britain's Nicky Hunt delivered another solid performance after her second place in the first leg of the circuit, clinching another silver medal with her brand-new Ultima CPX. This also places her comfortably in 2nd place in the running for the Grand Final in Edinburgh. Also notable was the fantastic performance of local Recurve shooter Shungo Tabata, claiming fourth place in his first World Cup competition. Shibuya Shooter crushes FITA World Record

Bloomfield, NJ, from 29-30 May 2010

Bloomfield, NJ served host to an illustrous group of archers this weekend for the popular Gold Cup competition. Among them was Canadian Junior National Team member Christopher Perkins. Christopher scored an amazing 702 in the 70m x 72 Qualification round - a solid 4 points over the FITA world record, and ranking 9th in the overall compound male division! He showed a solid performance in the elimination round as well, beating out reigning World Champion Reo Wilde to claim 4th place overall. Great shooting Christopher, congratulations on the record!

Team Shibuya rocks the NFAA Outdoor

Team Shibuya refuses to let go of their spots on the winner's podium! Dee Wilde and Jeff Fabry found themselves in a familiar spot in the First  Dakota Classic 2010 this weekend - in first place of their respective decisions. Congratulations to all of the successful Shibuya Shooters at the First Dakota Classic and NFAA Unmarked 3D Championships 2010!

Grand success for Team Shibuya at the Archery World Cup

Porec, Croatia, from 4 - 8 May 2010

Scenic Porec in Croatia once more served as the venue for the first leg of the FITA World Cup 2010. And once more, Team Shibuya reascertained its strong presence in the target circuit, claiming medals in almost every division of the event!  Ultima user Sam Kyritsoglou (BEL) dished out the biggest surprise of the event - beating out former world cup champion and Shibuya teammate Sergio Pagni (ITA) to claim the gold medal in the men's compound division. Equally successful were Shibuya Shooters Simon Terry, Ilario Di Buo, Nicky Hunt, and Albina Loginova, all claiming medals in their respective divisions.

Ultima CPX shooters strike again -  Western Trail Classic & NFAA Marked 3D

Redding, California, from 29 April - 2 May 2010

Redding's famous Western Classic Trail Shoot and NFAA Marked 3D Championships once again proved it's popularity in 2010, attracting thousands of archers from across the world! Shibuya was present to drum up interest in our upcoming Ultima CPX sight, and to witness what was to be another stunning success for Team Shibuya! Logan Wilde refused to rest on the laurels of his success in Texas, notching up his third first place finish of the young outdoor season in the team round! Not to be outdone, Kevin Wilkey again proved his 3D archery skill in the Male Pro division, adding a third place finish to his archery resume after a three-way tie for second! Seven-time World Champion Dee Wilde finished a comfortable third place in the Senior Pro division. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Shibuya Booth, and congratulations to all the successful archers in the Western Trail shoot!

Ultima CPX shooter triumphant at Doinker Texas Shootout

Logan Wilde has done it again: a mere two weeks after his victory at the 2010 Arizona Cup, he emerged triumphant at the Doinker Texas Shootout! After a solid 3rd place qualifying score, Logan consistently outperformed his competitors to claim the gold at the NAA ranking tournament. Congratulations to all successful archers at the Doinker Texas Shootout 2010!

Ultima CPX takes the Gold at Arizona Cup!

Phoenix, Arizona - 9-11 April 2010

Closely on the heels of his triumph at the ISAA Pro Am, Ultima CPX prototype test shooter Logan Wilde reaffirmed his status as one of the USA's hottest competitive archers at the challenging Arizona Cup tournament! Posting one of only two 1400+ scores in the ranking round, Wilde was a shoe-in for the medal match, in which he defeated Puerto Rican Jean Pizarro for the top spot on the podium.  But that was not the only podium place the Shibuya shooters claimed - fellow CPX test shooter Jeff Fabry posted a solid first place qualifying score in the W1M Para Division, ultimately moving on to claim the gold in this division with a 6-0 win in the final match. Congratulations to all successful archers at the Arizona Cup 2010!

Shibuya Shooters triumph at European Championships

Shibuya's shooters posted another impressive result at the European Indoor Archery Championships, securing the top spots on both the Ladies' Recurve and Men's Compound divisions!  Congratulations to Natalia Valeeva, Sergio Pagni, and all the other succcesful archers at the European Indoor Archery Championships!

Ultima CPX takes center stage at ASA Pro AM

2009 World Games Champion Kevin Wilkey added another podium placement to his already impressive track record - taking second at the latest stage in the ASA competition circuit. Shibuya Shooter Jeff Fabry takes 3rd at the Vegas Shoot

Multiple IPC worlf champion and Paralympic medalist Jeff Fabry took his pre-production model Ultima CPX to the Vegas Shoot 2010 - and returned home with another top three place in the compound limited division! Two more CPX prototypes were present at the shoot - drawing attention on ISAA Pro Am winner Logan Wilde and World Games champion Kevin Wilkey's bows. Shibuya Shooter Dee Wilde also would not let himself be outdone, posting another third place in the Senior Compound Unlimited Championship division. Shibuya Shooter Jay Lyon breaks Canadian record - again!

Winnipeg (Canada) - 7 February 2010

A mere week after setting a new Canadian Indoor FITA record of 593, Jay Lyon (CAN) did it again - topping his previous score by a full 3 points! His new record of 596 is just one point shy of the FITA world record in this division. Congratulations to Jay for this great achievement!

Australian Champion Pat Coghlan joins Team Shibuya

"I bolted it to a car engine (we use at the farm to pump water from the river to a holding tank) and started the engine and let it run. Nimes European Indoor 2010

Another great success for Team Shibuya in Europe's biggest Indoor shoot! Chrystelle Garitat took home the women's compound gold with her Ultima CP365-9. In a truly exciting finals tournament, Chrystelle worked her way up to the podium from the 27th qualifying score!  Congratulations to all archers who participated in the European Indoor 2010!

2010 ISAA Pro-Am

Mason City (USA)

Shibuya's Logan Wilde (USA) kicked off what looks to be a promising year with an astonishing success - a win at the ISAA Pro-Am in Mason City, Iowa! Coming out on top of 550 competitors including the world's finest compound archers, Logan left his mark on the target butt with a 689 score - 2 rings above the 2nd scoring archer. Congratulations to Logan, and all other archers competing at the event!

2009 PFA Idaho Open

Pocatello (USA) - 12-13 December 2009

Shibuya's Logan Wilde (USA) proved his excellence in the prestigious PFA Idaho Open with a 599, 52X score, placing him in a 3-man shootoff. Logan came out on top to win 2nd place at the competition! Congratulations to all archers who participated in the competition.

2009 Archery World Cup Finals

Grand Title for Sergio Pagni (ITA)!

Shibuya's Shooting Staff showed another exceptionally strong performance at the World Cup Finals in  Copenhagen (DEN), bringing home 8 medals from the prestigious event.  Particularly impressive was Sergio Pagni's first-place finish in the men's compound division, topping off an unbelievably successful outdoor season! Sergio also left his mark on the mixed team competition, taking the silver medal with his teammate Anastasia Anastasio.
